About me
I’m Madeleine Caiazzo, a multidisciplinary designer specializing in architecture, exhibition design, art direction, and production design, with a focus on spatial storytelling and material research. My work explores how design can bridge historical narratives with contemporary innovation, creating immersive and thought-provoking experiences.
Born in Germany and raised between Milan and Naples, my dual heritage blends Italian creativity with German precision, shaping my approach to design. I hold a BA in Architecture from Politecnico di Milano, where I graduated cum laude, and a Master’s in Design for Art Direction from UAL in London. Currently, I am pursuing a fully funded Master’s in Museography and Archaeology at the Hadrian Academy, awarded through the Piranesi Prix de Rome scholarship.
My experience spans exhibition curation, urban regeneration, metalworking, and production design, with hands-on collaborations for institutions like the National Archives in London, Neues Museum in Berlin, and the Archaeological Museum of Naples. I have worked as Assistant Studio Director for Nicolò Castellini Baldissera, contributed to Milan Design Week, and developed installations that explore ephemerality, sustainability, and cultural identity. My technical expertise includes 3D visualization, Rhino + Grasshopper, AutoCAD, Twinmotion, and digital fabrication techniques.
As a Soho House Fellow and award-winning designer, my work is driven by a passion for material experimentation, immersive storytelling, and cultural preservation. I thrive on collaborating across disciplines to create designs that challenge conventions and reimagine the way we engage with spaces.
